“Light Up the Season” returned to the Four Seasons for the seventh year. The Christmastime favorite invites “guests to revel in an elegant holiday display inspired by Children’s National Hospital patients, enjoy a winter wonderland on the Bourbon Steak patio and attend a Teddy Bear Tea to benefit patients and families,” said organizers.

This year, decorator Tom Kehoe collaborated with nine patients from Children’s National to make their holiday dreams come true, unveiling an alluring and artistic holiday display that celebrates each patient throughout the property. Custom designs created in honor of Children’s National Hospital patients adorn the Georgetown hotel lobby throughout the holiday season. Anyone can walk through the lobby to view the golden reindeer, shimmering trees and patients’ personal vignettes within each tree.
“It is an honor to bring these patients’ dreams to life in our hotel and to celebrate them and their families during the holidays,” said Marc Bromley, Regional Vice President and General Manager. “Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC is a sight to behold during the holiday season, and we look forward to furthering our support for Children’s National Hospital while delighting locals and visitors alike.”
Saturday, Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23 — 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Guests are invited to partake in a special holiday tea, featuring tea sandwiches, scones, petits fours and choice of tea, hot chocolate or sparkling wine. For dessert, there will be a candy station, hot chocolate cart and a whimsical gingerbread house display. Santa will visit guests on all four Saturdays, with additional performers from Georgetown University providing festive entertainment throughout tea time. An a Cappella group will perform on Dec. 2, a local keyboardist on Dec. 9 and Melina’s Dance company on Dec. 16. A percentage of proceeds goes to Children’s National. For reservations, click here.
