Welbers Kieswerke take delivery of new RM 100GO! mobile crusher

A COMPACT RM 100GO! mobile crusher from Rubble Master is drawing high praise from German aggregate suppliers Welbers Kieswerke, who are crushing up to 110 tonnes/h of material with efficiency, reliability, and lowest total cost of ownership.  PEX Jaw Small Crusher

According to Rubble Master the results speak for themselves, as the fully hybrid electric machine has proven to reduce energy costs by around 50% for Welbers, as well as total operating costs by 11% annually, whilst protecting the environment.

Based in Wemb, in the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Welbers have been operating a sand and gravel quarry with processing plant for generations. In July this year, the business purchased its first mobile crusher – the RM 100GO! hybrid – to recycle construction, demolition and excavation waste (CD&E) and reprocessing them into valuable final products such as 0–16mm and 0–45mm.

‘With the new RM 100GO! hybrid, we get a much better geometry of aggregate compared with the cone crushers we previously operated on site. Asphalt adheres better and decorative chippings look better; essential criteria for our customers, who range from landscape gardeners and building contractors to private customers,’ commented Jonathan Schaffers, managing director of Welbers.

Since taking delivery of the Rubble Master machine, the recycled aggregates firm has operated the RM 100GO! plant fully electric and emission-free, saving the business around €1,000 on diesel.

For Mr Schaffers, the maximum manoeuvrability, ease of connecting to the electricity grid, and environmental performance of the compact mobile crusher has made a massive difference for the aggregates business in terms of sustainability, quality productivity, and lowest cost-per-tonne.

Welbers have processed several thousand tonnes of gravel since July – all without fuel. The company also plans to follow a materials processing schedule, whereby every couple of months C&D waste will be crushed for two to three weeks. Overall, the RM 100GO! will process around 40,000 tonnes of aggregate/C&D materials per annum in fully electric mode.

‘The RM 100GO! hybrid is ideal for handling both C&D waste and natural stone. I am delighted we have found Welbers the perfect solution, which is both cost-efficient and environmentally friendly,’ concluded Christian Knepperges, sales manager at C. Christophel GmbH, long-standing dealers for Rubble Master.
